Winemaker Agnes from the Schütte winery named the Prickelnde (=sparkling) Elise after her great-grandmother Elise Fuchs. After pressing, the fully ripe Riesling grapes are lightly carbonated for a fine perlage. Due to its naturally high sugar content, Prickelnde Elise is particularly suitable as an alternative to dessert wine and goes exceptionally well with a nice cheese platter.
