Domaine des Grottes

Creation over dealcoholization!

Domaine des Grottes in beautiful Beaujolais is a small, biodynamically farmed estate that embraces diversity and sustainability. Since 2012, the winemaker Romain des Grottes has shared the land with a market gardener, creating a vibrant ecosystem of vines, fruit, cereals, and medicinal plants. No synthetic inputs are used in the vineyard, and copper is applied only minimally, replaced by herbal teas and fermented plant extracts. Trees and hedgerows are planted to strengthen biodiversity and soil health. Instead of dealcoholisation, the winemaker chooses creativity: his non-alcoholic options are crafted from natural ingredients only, combining his own grapes with other local fruit and herbs — always additive-free. Each drink reflects a deep respect for nature and a playful, liberated approach to wine and no-wine-making.
